#6 Tennessee beat #3 Alabama in a crazy game in Knoxville 52-49 on Saturday which has shaken up the College Football Playoff. For the first time since 2006 the Tennessee Volunteers finally beat the Alabama Crimson Tide and the first time ever Nick Saban as HC of Alabama loses to Tennessee. Vols kicker Chase McGrath nailed a 40 yard field goal as time expired as we have a major shake up in the College Football Playoff race.
If I had to rank my top 4 right now even though the first rankings don’t come out until November 1st I will say Ohio State at 1, Georgia at 2, Tennessee at 3 and Michigan 4. I would say Clemson at 5 and Ole Miss at 6. Alabama is still in the discussion but they have a lot of work to do especially with penalties and defense. Georgia hosts Tennessee on November 5th where I think both teams should be undefeated heading into this game and this game will have huge implications in both the SEC East and the College Football Playoff. I see Michigan and Ohio State meeting in Columbus on November 26th both undefeated in a huge game with massive implications in both the Big 10 and College Football Playoff. I could see a team like TCU run the table but they play in the Big 12 and I don’t think they are up there yet despite ranked wins against Oklahoma State and Kansas. Clemson should ran the table in the ACC where they have 2 ranked wins against Wake Forest and NC State. Clemson still has Syracuse left and Notre Dame even though the Irish aren’t ranked at the moment. Lot of College Football left and let’s see what happens in these next couple of weeks.
