Chicago Bears New President

Ted Phillips the longtime President of the Chicago Bears since 1999 will retire in late February.  Ted Phillips was not a football guy where the Bears didn’t have much success under his watch and only 3 playoffs wins which is not acceptable but thankfully someone else will take his place whoever it will be.  Ted Phillips is more known on the business side of things than being a football guy and hopefully whoever the new President gets the Bears back to relevance and will probably play a big role in the Arlington Heights project whenever the Bears move there.  Their is one guy I would for the Chicago Bears to hire as next President and CEO for the organization and is Big 10 Commissioner Kevin Warren.  I give a lot of credit to Kevin Warren for what he has done with the Big 10 Conference adding teams like USC and UCLA and securing new TV deals as well.

Kevin Warren has plenty of experience in the NFL  where he began with the then St. Louis Rams in 1997 and was part of the Rams Super Bowl winning team in 1999 and also played a huge role when the Minnesota Vikings got a new stadium in 2016 which has been a huge success for that franchise.  Super Bowl 52 during the 2017-2018 season was at U.S. Bank Stadium and the 2019 Men’s Final Four was as well.  I think Kevin Warren would be the perfect candidate as the Chicago Bears next President and CEO and I think he play will play a big role with the Arlington Heights project.  Check out his impressive resume below:

  • St Louis Rams 1997-1999
Vice president of player programs & football legal counsel
