Chicago Bears 2022 Regular Season Schedule

Here are my early predictions on the 2022 Bears:

9-11-22 vs 49ers: Tough game to start the Matt Eberflus Ryan Poles era against a very good SF 49ers team.  Who will the 49ers quarterback be week 1 veteran Jimmy Graoppolo or second year player Trey Lance?  Will 49ers all purpose threat Deebo Samuel still be with the 49ers despite requesting a trade? If the 49ers have the right quarterback for them in 2022 they can be a force in the NFC with that strong running game and underrated defense.  Loss (0-1)

9-18-22 at Packers on Sunday Night Football: How will Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense look after trading away Rodgers favorite weapon in Devante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders? Packers are still the Packers with Aaron Rodgers behind center. Loss (0-2)

9-25-22 vs Texans: Former Bears HC Lovie Smith is now the Texans HC where they are rebuilding for the future and trading away quarterback Deshaun Watson who has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons.  Texans won’t be very good in 2022 where this should be a win for the Bears in 2022.  Win (1-2)

10-2-22 at the NY Giants:  Giants starting all over once again with a new general manager and a new head coach in former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Dabol who is trying to get the Giants back to respectability.  Is former first round pick Daniel Jones the guy for the Gmen at quarterback or will it be someone else? I did like the Giants two first round picks in in Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal in the draft.  I could see this game go either way.  Win (2-2)

10-9-22 at the Minnesota Vikings: Bears usually close the regular season at the Minnesota Vikings when the weather is cold outside even though the Vikings play indoors.  Vikings have a new GM and HC but Quarterback Kirk Cousins still on the team.  This divisional game could go either way but it’s the Vikings at home. Loss (2-3)

10-13-22 vs the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night:  How cool this Bears game is on my Birthday.  Former 85 Bears linebacker Ron Rivera leads the Commanders into Soldier Field for this Thursday Night battle.  Washington hopefully has the upgrade at quarterback in former Eagles and Colts starter in Carson Wentz but he has been inconsistent here and there.  Washington has a really good defensive line led by former defensive rookie of the year stud in Chase Young and this line will be a huge test for the Bears offensive line. With this game being on a short week I will give it to the Bears but I could see Washington win this game.  Win (3-3)

10-24-22 at the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football: In rematch of the 2021 CFP National Championship game between Justin Fields of Ohio State who is now the Bears Quarterback in his second season against Mac Jones of Alabama who is also in his second season as the Patriots signal caller.  Patriots may no longer have the GOAT at quarterback in Tom Brady but the GOAT at head coach in Bill Belichick is still calling the shots.  Patriots were a playoff team last season but got blown out by Buffalo.  Patriots may not be the powerhouse they use to be but they should still beat the Bears. Loss (3-4)

10-30-22 at the Dallas Cowboys: Cowboys had a tough ending in there wildcard playoff loss to the 49ers, but they still have a lot of weapons on offense even though no more Amari Cooper but still.  Micah Parsons looks to continue to build off his amazing defensive rookie of the year season.  As a much as I dislike the Cowboys because they get way too much attention they will sadly win.  Loss (3-5)

11-6-22 vs the Miami Dolphins: Bears have struggled over the years against the Miami Dolphins, why I have no idea.  Dolphins traded for former Chiefs speedy wide receiver in Tyreek Hill but can former first round pick Tua Tagovailoa finally get on track as the Dolphins Quarterback? If Tua can finally play like a franchise quarterback Dolphins can be a sleeper in the AFC East. Loss (3-6)

11-13-22 vs the Detroit Lions: The Detroit Lions are without a doubt a much improved team with some nice additions like second overall pick in Michigan pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson and Alabama stud wide receiver  Jameson Williams. The Lions shouldn’t be taken for granted anymore yes Jared Goff is still the Lions quarterback but they will be a much improved team who could be a sleeper this season.  I could see the Bears split with the Lions this season.  Win (4-6)

11-20-22 at the Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons no longer have their longtime quarterback in Matt Ryan who was traded to the Colts, Falcons are clearly building for the future and they won’t be very good in 2022.  I see this as a win for the Bears.  Win (5-6)

11-27-22 at the New York Jets: The Jets should without a doubt be a much improved team after a busy off season they have had.  The big question is can Zach Wilson take the next step?  Jets may not what they use to be but they could be a fun team to watch.  Loss (5-7)

12-4-22 vs the Green Bay Packers: As long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy and is the Packers starting quarterback this should be a Packers win as #12 has owned the Bears over the years.  Loss (5-8)

12-18-22 vs the Philadelphia Eagles: This will be a tough game out of the bye week for the Bears as the Eagles are a much improved team after adding guys like AJ Brown via trade and having a really good draft getting guys like Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean.  If Jalen Hurts can take the next step as the Eagles starting quarterback this team could be a sleeper in the NFC.  Loss (5-9)

12-24-22 vs the Buffalo Bills: This will be one of the Bears toughest games for the 2022 season as the Bills are a serious Super Bowl Contender.  Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen will be a huge test for the Bears defense and the Bills made a huge splash adding future Hall of Famer in pass rusher Von Miller to a really good Bills defense.   Loss (5-10)

1-1-23 at the Detroit Lions: The Lions could very well be playing meaningful football in this game against the Bears, the Lions are really building something for the future as the Lions continue to get better and better.  Loss (5-11)

1-8-23 vs the Minnesota Vikings: Bears won’t be very good during the 2022 season, Vikings could be a surprise team this season, maybe this game has some meaning for the Vikings possibly.  Loss (5-12) Bears will get better but they are years away.
