Yes I know it’s only 2 games into the 2023 NFL Season but the Chicago Bears look like one of the worst teams in all of the NFL and oh by the way they have to go to Kansas City and play the Defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs at loud Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs should win this game with ease as this will be a total blowout and the Chiefs aren’t happy they won a low scoring game last week in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Bears have no chance in this game against the Chiefs unfortunately.
Watching Quarterback Justin Fields so far through the first 2 games he hasn’t taken the next step yet as a passer. We all know how good he is as a running quarterback but Fields needs to get better as a passing quarterback. Yes the Bears are missing some key pieces on the offensive line but Fields is still taking a beating. I also think that Luke Getsy is not a good offensive coordinator as Fields has been poorly coached. Opposing teams know when they face the Bears they have to crowd the line of scrimmage and make sure to contain Fields by making him beat us by throwing the football which has been a success so far.
The Bears defense still has a ways to go, so far through 2 games they only have 1 sack and 0 takeaways. Bears HC Matt Eberflus a defensive minded HC still can’t get this young defense going and I think defensive coordinator Alan Williams so far hasn’t done a good job yet. So far through 2 games the Bears defensive is allowing the opposing teams to convert at least 50% conversions on 3rd down to 1st downs. This week won’t get any easier against the great Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and that Chiefs explosive offense. Bears will very likely start the season 0-3 as this will likely be another long season for the Chicago Bears.
