The Chicago Blackhawks are now a dynasty after winning their third Stanley Cup in the last six seasons. What made this one special was winning on home ice in front of the awesome Blackhawks fans for the first time since 1938. The Hawks won 2-0 against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the United Center where the Hawks got to hoist the Stanley Cup in front of their fans on Monday night and every where in Chicago another Stanley Cup Championship was celebrated.Duncan Keith scored the game’s first goal off a rebound in the 2nd period, with his outstanding postseason performance he won the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP. Patrick Kane put the final nail in the coffin with the final goal night. After getting off to a slow start in the playoffs, Corey Crawford finished strong with 25 saves. The Hawks did an excellent job keeping Lightning star Steven Stamkos in check with him not scoring a single goal this whole series.
The Hawks have done an amazing job under owner Rocky Wirtz, President John McDonugh, GM Stan Bowman and of course head coach Joel Quenneville. These Hawks are very fun to watch and future keeps getting bright for this team.
