College Football Playoff Picks after week 4

The Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs and Oregon Ducks are clearly the top 3 teams as of right now, my 4th team right now is the Penn State Nittany Lions. I would say the Iowa Hawkeyes are my first team out and the Oklahoma Sooners as my second team out.  We got some huge games this weekend that will shape up not only Conference races but the College Football Playoff as well.  3 games that I will keep my on eyes on closely are #1 Alabama will host #12 Ole Miss in a huge game in Tuscaloosa (2:30 Central time on CBS) , #2 Georgia will host #8 Arkansas (11 AM on ESPN) and #9 Notre Dame hosting #7 Cincinnati (1:30 on NBC).  If the Bearcats want to be in the discussion of the College Football Playoff then they need to beat a ranked Notre Dame team which will boost their resume and of course run the table.  If they can get this win they will skyrocket in the rankings without a doubt.  I think Alabama and Georgia will win their games this coming Saturday since  they are both at home while I think Oregon will beat a 2-2 Stanford team on the road but anything can happen on any given day.  So I think my top 4 will likely remain the same for the following Saturday.

Notre Dame last week got a huge win against the Wisconsin Badgers at Soldier Field in Chicago, so the Irish are still in the discussion.  Since 2015 Clemson has qualified for the College Football Playoff every year except in 2014 which was the first year of the CFP but with that crushing loss to NC State and already their second loss of the season their hopes are all but gone.  Ohio State still has a chance as they have a huge game coming up on October 30th in Columbus against Penn State, as long as the Buckeyes win the Big 10 Championship game they will be in the discussion.

Huge games are the following Saturday on October 9th as well, Iowa hosting Penn State in a huge Big 10 battle where both teams will likely be in the top 5 and likely still undefeated as well with Penn State hosting Nebraska and Iowa playing at Maryland. #1 Alabama will play at Texas A&M in College Station in a hostile environment while #2 Georgia will go on the road and take on Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium in a hostile environment.   But first things first let’s see what happens this Saturday in College Football. So right now I have Alabama at one, Georgia at two, Oregon at three and Oregon at 4.
