Someone asked me recently about a couple of teams in the NFL who I think could see finally end their Super Bowl drought within these next of couple of years.
Buffalo Bills: Quarterback Josh Allen is turning into a superstar while the Bills have been knocking on the door these last couple of seasons of getting to the Super Bowl. Josh Allen has plenty of weapons to throw to while this team has almost no weaknesses. Their #1 ranked defense got stronger by adding future hall of fame pass rusher Von Miller and I really like their first round pick in this recent draft of cornerback Kaiir Elam. What a job GM Brandon Beane has done putting this roster together and Head Coach Sean McDermott has done coaching this team. I really think the Bills can finally win a Super Bowl and put their nightmare behind them of losing 4 straight Super Bowls behind them in the near future.
Cincinnati Bengals: When Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow is upright for a full season, this team has a chance. Joe Burrow was sacked so many times this past season where they still made the Super Bowl and almost won it. This team is so underrated all across the board on both offense and defense. Joe Burrow has some great weapons like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Joe Mixon and others. Bengals made a huge commitment to protect their franchise quarterback in Joe Burrow by bringing in guys like guard Alex Cappa, center Ted Karras and tackle La’el Collins. Bengals defense was so underrated last season led by pass rusher Trey Hendrickson and safety Jessie Bates III where they will get better and better. As I said if Joe Burrow can stay clean in the pocket with his great cool and calm this team has a chance.
LA Chargers: LA Chargers have a very bright future with young stud quarterback Justin Herbert. The Bolts almost made the Playoffs last season and I think they can be a playoff team this season despite being in a loaded AFC West Division. Herbert has great weapons at his disposal with running back Austin Ekeler, Mike Williams and Keenan Allen and others at wide receiver. Chargers could have the best pass rushing duo in all of the NFL with Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack while they have a solid secondary with the likes of safety Derwin James, J.C. Jackson and Asante Samuel Jr. If the Chargers can get better production from their defense especially the run defense then this team can defiantly win it all in the near future.
Right now I will say Buffalo will likely win it first, followed by the Bengals then Chargers if I had to guess in that order.
